What to do if you run out of content?

A good content strategy means you have content – lots of it- that interests your customer. What to do if you run out of inspiration? If we don’t provide you efficient content to publish? 

I’m here to help you! Use the 3 tips below to cure and prevent your writer’s block.

1. Inspiration wanted

Your inspiration isn’t endless and that’s normal. Stop staring at your computer screen and do something that could inspire you. Go for a walk or a run, bring in a colleague for a fresh pair of eyes. Read a book or a blogpost. Or let someone/something think out of the box for you. The blog ideas generator from Hubspot, gives you crazy content ideas, based on your input.

 

2. Analyze your company & get planning

You’ll never have to panic and last-minute write if you plan ahead. But it doesn’t stop after you’ve downloaded a cool tool to make your life easier. You still need inspiration on what to write about. Start by analyzing your business. Plan according to what matters for your company. Choose your expertise and added value. Then start adding extras, like holidays, promotions, events,…  Are you season sensitive and do sales affect you? Are you a techy company that writes about the newest iPhone?

3. What do your customers need?

The last and most important tip: be customer centric. Figure out what your customers need, not what you think they need. The easiest way to do that? Talk to them. Not through Google analytics, that’s not very personal. Try using a chat bot and track the FAQ’s. Check your social media regularly, what questions do your customers ask? Have a chat with customer service, they know all the pains your customers might have.
