Last Thursday, Minds&More was, together with other leading companies such as Profacts & Leo Burnett agency, the proud sponsor of the 50 years Vlerick Alumni SLM/3M gala evening. The event took place at the Eskimo Fabriek in Ghent and over 170 senior marketing and sales leaders were welcomed.

We had the opportunity  to assist to inspiring presentations from extremely skilled marketers such as Erik Van Vooren, Jempi Moens of Barbara Vangheluwe (most of them were an alumni of the leading marketing executive education).

The topics were very diverse: the new role of marketing in today’s connected world, how to identify incremental business opportunities, the importance of digital technologies and tools for companies, etc…. Eddy Cremers, Sr. Service Client Director for ISPOS revealed us the secret to increase your conversion rate in one word : omnichannel. Which means that you have to multiply the contact points along the consumer journey. This is crucial if you want to become a customer-centric organisation.  Afterwards, we had  Karel Demeester, founding partner at Callebaut Collective, on stage talking about the importance of customer experience for the smart, connected customer. At another point, Michèle Mees’s speech was about diversity in today’s marketing.  A « hot topic » with women still not enough present as CMO in today’s board rooms.

As you can read, lot of topics were discussed and covered by Alumni of Vlerick SLM. Some of them  more interesting and refreshing than the other. We hope that each visitor had a key takeway from the speeches by these skilled marketers.  Personally we appreciated the warm and dynamic speech of  Marion Debruyne, Dean of Vlerick Business School, about how education, and specifically Vlerick business school, can have a lifechanging impact on your personality and your professional career .
